Ballina Shire Council has recently extended the carparking area near Lake Ainsworth incorporating a water sensitive design approach. Design team ink worked closely with Council staff towards a landscape solution which integrates “essential” engineering requirements in a way which is considerate of the distinctive character of the context and significance of this public recreation precinct. Some interpretative signage providing information on the WSUD initiatives is being manufactured and will be installed soon.
